The Georgia General Assembly has declared war against the State of Tennessee. Well, sort of.
For more than 190 years, a faulty survey has drawn the Tennessee state line a mile south of the 35th Parallel, the legal border between the two states.
House Resolution 1206 and Senate Resolution 822 would form the Georgia-Tennessee Border Line Commission to accurately survey and correctly mark the Georgia-Tennessee border.
Now is the time to defend Georgia's border and secure what is rightfully Georgia's (including the Tennessee welcome center on I-75 and our rightful share of the water in the Tennessee River).
